Lively Annual Meeting
The breeze kept us chilly but lively conversation kept us warm as ELCA Members tackled a variety of topics during the Annual meeting on Saturday, August 1st. Highlights of this past year, summarized the braod range of completed board projects and recognized the community for itsenthusiastic support of these initiatives. Carl Capdeville was celebrated for his contributions to our community as he delivered his final Caretaker's Report. Regretably, Carl declined the offer of continuing at Eagle Lake in the redefined Property Manager's role and will leave us at the end of August. Focusing on the future, the care and concern of residents for the community was obvious during animated budget, forest maintenance and hiring discussions. ELCA members supported the creation of a new Forest Management reserve, approvied a special assessment to out source cleaning up the trees around the lake and accepted the proposed Bylaw revisions. You can read all about it in the Annual Meeting Minutes posted on the site. Per tradition, the Potluck was deliscious, fun and the perfect way to spend the afternoon. Next year we hope everyone will be able to join us!
